Leigh N. Florita RSS
Leigh Florita is currently the Jr. High Principal and the K-12 Professional Development Director at The Academy.  She began at The Academy in the fall of 2010 as the Dean of Students, was then hired as the Elementary Assistant Principal, and has now been serving as the Jr. High principal since 2012-13.

Leigh began her career in education teaching High School Spanish in a large suburban school district in Omaha, NE.  After seven years there she obtained her degree in Educational Administration at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and was hired as the start-up principal for a new Cristo Rey High school (sister school to Arrupe Jesuit here in Denver), where she served for three years before moving to the Denver area for her husband's job.

Leigh was born and raised primarily in the Midwest, but has found, like many, that she LOVES Colorado and didn't really know what she was missing.  She especially enjoys the great weather and the beautiful landscapes.  She has lived in Missouri, Iowa, California, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska, but now wishes to be a permanent resident of Colorado.  Leigh makes it back to the Midwest often to visit her family that is still there, but feels lucky to have her in-laws close by to the north in Wyoming.
